Nelson Mandela was the first Black president of South Africa, elected after time in prison for his anti-apartheid work. He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993
Nelson Mandela was born on 18 July 1918 in the village of Mwejo, South Africa.
His mother's name was Nosekeni and his father's name was Godlahener. His childhood name was Rolihlahala. The school teacher named him Nelson. He did his early education from Clerk Berry Missionary School.
His father died at the age of 12. But his Sikh family did not let him feel the lack of a father. He did his graduation from Hilltown College.
He fought for discrimination against black people from college days due to which he was also expelled from college.
Joined the #African National Congress of Africa in 1944 AD
He became the secretary of the African National Congress in 1947.
In 1961 AD, he was tried for treason but proved innocent.
But on 5 August 1962, he was arrested again, kissing lasted for almost 2 years and on 12 July 1964 he was sentenced to life imprisonment.
He made the black prisoner aware to demand his right even in jail.
Nelson Mandela lived in that dungeon for 27 years
Government changed in 1989 and liberal leader f.w. The clerk became the country's president and he released all the prisoners who were not tried for murder
He was released from prison on 1 February 1990, and 4 years later, South Africa had an election for the presidency in which black people could also participate.
On 10 May 1994, he became the first black president of South Africa.

He received Bharat Ratna, India's highest award in 1990 AD.
Received the Nobel Prize for World Peace in 1993
He left this world on 5 December 2013
